Hotel Auersperg :: a cosy stay

You want to know where to stay in Salzburg? Good Question! Well, indeed it’s not an easy task to answer. It depends on how much you would like to spend and how much of comfort you expect. The Hotel Auersperg is definitive a choise worth your money.

It’s located close to the centre of Salzburg in a walking distance from ten minutes to every point of interest. Also the quarter is very nice and urban, not crowded but friendly. Why I suggest this hotel is because I look at it every day and night: it’s right in front of my apartment window (-: If somebody of my friends comes over the weekend but would like to stay in a hotel I always suggest this – not only because they can come over to me for breakfast (-:

The guys from Hotel Auersperg really care for good design and style: No matter what season it is always nicely decorated with flowers and plants, in total they care for details and good quality. That’s why I think this hotel is so special. As a **** star hotel it provides great comfort for a good price: ~120,- EUR / double room per night (= 60,- EUR per person and night) incl. breakfast.

The hotel is made of 2 buildings: The ‘Villa Auersperg’ (a residential villa built at the beginning of the last century) is located right next to the hotel. All of the 19 rooms are one 3 floors, however without an elevator – Porter Service is available at anytime.

I know that you come here to see something from Salzburg but why not relax after a long sightseeing day in the wellness centre on top of the hotel, including a roof terrace sauna, steam bath and solarium? My tip: in summer the best place to relax in the afternoon is drinking a good Mojito in the wonderful little garden. Sometimes I just come over here for a glass of wine and enjoy the athmosphere.
